Jane Skinner (MSW '10) named programs coordinator at CA Community Center

March 21, 2012 - Newnan native Jane Skinner and University of Georgia School of Social Work Alum (MSW '10) has been named adult programs coordinator at Peninsula Jewish Community Center in Foster, Calif.


PJCC welcomes people of all ages, faiths and backgrounds and offers programs and services designed to meet the needs of the people in the area -- from infants to seniors. The PJCC is a beneficiary of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin, and Sonoma counties.
Founded by a group of enthusiastic Jewish community members, the PJCC was brought to life in a rented home in Burlingame in 1948. The center moved several times before locating in Foster City in 1998.

The12-acre Foster City campus is also home to the Jewish Day School of the North Peninsula, the Jewish Community Federation and Jewish Family and Children's Services.
Skinner was the valedictorian of the 2003 class of Newnan High School. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology -- graduating Phi Beta Kappa -- from Vassar College in 2007. She also holds a Master of Arts in Social Work (MSW) and a gerontology certificate from the University of Georgia.
A resident of San Jose, Calif., Skinner is the daughter of Lynn and Winston Skinner of Newnan and the granddaughter of Sara Jane and Walter Skinner of Moreland.
